Free, Easy Clutter Control Tip

Published by another_mother at 8:20 am under Frugal Home Edit This

You know those little boxes that hold the checks when you order replacements for your checkbook?  They make perfect drawer organizers (as do others in similar sizes).  Their depth, length, and width are just right for many sizes of drawers.  You can line a whole drawer with them or just throw in one or two to hold specific items.

Put them in the junk drawer to hold batteries or rubber bands or put them in a kitchen drawer to hold corkscrews, bottle openers, or twist ties.  In the desk drawer, you can use them to separate paper clips or push pins.  In a child’s dresser drawer, they can be used to separate dress stockings from everyday socks.

Many sizes and shapes of boxes can be reused to help organize and get rid of clutter, in place of more costly storage containers.  Not only can we save money and find things more easily, but we can do a little recycling at the same time.
