The Scoop on Soap

Published by another_mother at 10:43 am under Frugal Home Edit This

Bar soap can be found for reasonable prices, especially if you choose off brand, no-frill soap. While bars of soap tend to be more economical for bath soap (especially as compared to shower gels and body wash products), they’re not always the best value for hand washing.

That mess you’re cleaning off the sink ledge or soap dish on a regular basis is wasted soap. To avoid the mess and the waste, try liquid hand soap. While some liquid hand soaps are pricey, not all of them are. You can save money by purchasing a dispenser package once then choosing refills thereafter. The economy size refill tends to cost about twice as much as the soap dispenser bottle but generally contains three to four times the amount of soap.
